From the Pastor's Desk- May 2012

From the Pastor’s Desk – All I can say is “glory to God.”  God truly blessed LLBC during our Lay Renewal Weekend.  He answered our prayers and we are seeing the beginning of revival. A word of caution: after a spiritual high there is always the possibility of a fall. How do we keep this from happening? Stay in the Word: hear it, read it, study, memorize it, meditate upon it but most of all apply it and live it out each day. We must follow each day the leading of the Holy Spirit as He speaks through God’s Word.  Also, we must pray. Pray just as fervently for one another as you did in preparation for our LRW. Pray for the work of our church. Pray for lost family members, friends and neighbors. Pray that Christ be glorified by our obedience. I am praying for you.

Next month starts our busy summer schedule.  Soon you will be hearing from Shelly Sheffler about VBS. I ask that you begin praying now about your part in reaching children for the Lord Jesus Christ.  VBS is June 3-7.

Falls Creek is only six weeks away – June 11-16.  Our theme this year is ‘Undiscovered Territory’ based upon Jer. 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” The emphasis will be upon prayer: why we pray, how we pray and the results of prayer.  Pray for Josh, our sponsors and cooks, especially that the Lord do a mighty work in the lives of all. Falls Creek is an outreach time. If you know someone that you believe will benefit from our week at Falls Creek, invite them.

We will again be sponsoring and feeding a group of youth during World Changers, June 18-23.  Mark your calendar so that you can help serve (a meal to) one of these youth from across the US that will be putting a roof on a home here in Tulsa.  You will be blessed working beside others from LLBC.

Children’s Camp at Green Country Baptist Assembly (GCC) will be June 25-29.  We need sponsors this summer.  If you can go and spend a week with our kids let me know.  You will be blessed.

Pray also for our mission endeavors this summer.  On July 12 a team of 7 from LLBC will be traveling to Stip, Macedonia. Our team we will be leading VBS, prayer walking and training about 35 young people from across central Macedonia in leading their local congregations.

Our youth mission team will be serving locally begin August 1. They will be working with ministries in the Tulsa area, bringing the light of Jesus to others here in Tulsa.

There is a place for everyone at LLBC to serve this summer.  I encourage you to find your place of service and serve the Lord with us.

Yours in Christ,

Bro. Keith
