From the Pastor's Desk May 2007

What is the #1 priority of your life?  I don’t mean, what do you SAY is your most important commitment, what is most important in your life?  Jesus said the most important thing that we do is to love the Lord our God with all of our heart, with all of our soul, with all of our mind and with all of our strength.

Does your life reflect that priority?  Is worshiping God more important to you  than pleasure or leisure?  Is it more important than family?  [note that Jesus said, “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

(Matt 10:37 NASU)]  What do others see as your greatest priority?  What does your life reflect?

John Piper wrote that Jesus came for two purposes: to glorify God and to give us joy.  When we fulfill God’s greatest purpose for our life, when we worship the Lord with all that we are we glorify Him and the result is that we are filled with joy.

Is it time for a reordering of your priorities?  What needs to change so that your life reflects loving God in first place?  I am praying for you.

Love in Christ, Bro. Keith
