FROM THE PASTORíS DESK ó May 2010

Do you struggle with knowing God’s will? God will begin to reveal His specific will only as we are faithful to obey His general will.  In Ephesians 1 Paul writes, “Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God.”  My response was, “I want to know and do Your will!  What is Your will?”  Then the words jumped out at me from the next verses, “He chose us...to be holy and blameless before Him” and “He predestined us to adoption as sons to Himself.”  God’s will for us is that we live faithfully according to our position in Christ as sons of God.  That is living righteously and happens only as we live according to God’s Word.  Is your life pleasing to the Lord? Are you presenting yourself as a living and holy sacrifice acceptable to God in the power of the Holy Spirit? That Paul says, is the will of God for you.

Standing on God’s Word – We thank the Lord for the visible reminder of His Word.  A few weeks ago a 10 Commandments monument was erected on our property.  Hopefully you have seen it.  It will serve as a reminder to us and to our community that we stand on and base our lives upon God’s Word.  Special thanks to our donors who love our Lord and our nation enough to have that vision.

We are accepting scholarships for Falls Creek and the Youth Mission Trip to Houston, TX. Also, if you can go to Falls Creek as a cook or sponsor, talk to Josh or Gary
