From the Pastor’s Desk – What a great day we had Sunday for our Back to Church Sunday. Our Sunday School attendance was up and we had several guests in our worship service. Thanks for all who invited someone to join them for our special service. I especially want to thank all of those who participated in the ‘Card Testimony’. We sometimes do not know the things others have had to face in their walk with Christ. But we serve an AWESOME GOD who is able to take our problems and sinful past and make beautiful things of them. We are not perfect, but we serve a perfect SAVIOR who gave His life that we might be saved and transformed to become like Him.
I am excited that we are just about a month away from our LORDSHIP REVIVAL with Dr. Ernie Perkins and Wanda. Ernie was such a blessing last year and I know that the Lord will use him to speak to us again this year. I want to ask that you set aside November 2-5 for our revival and plan to attend every service. I also ask that you set aside time daily to pray for our revival, for Ernie and Wanda, and especially that we will see a movement of the Lord in our church.
I want to encourage all of you that can to join us for a trip to Eureka Springs October 17 to see the Passion Play. This will be a great opportunity to see a re-enactment of the last week of Christ’s earthly ministry, the high priestly prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane and the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord. If you join us you will also get to know better some of our youth and help encourage them in their walk with Christ. Cost will be about $20 plus your evening meal. If interested, contact Jordan Sheffler or Mike Cox. Scholarships available.
Lastly, I want to praise the Lord for all that HE has done in our midst these last several weeks. I’m not sure what the Lord is doing or is going to do, but I am excited to see Him move in our church. Keep praying that we will respond to the Lord as He leads us. And pray for me as I lead our church. I so want to see every member growing to maturity in Christ and becoming a disciple-maker.
I look forward to seeing you Sunday as together we worship our Lord. Pastor Keith
