From the Pastor's Desk- March 2012

This Sunday, March 4, Sandy and I will be beginning our 11th year at LLBC.  I can’t believe how quickly the last 10 years has gone by.  I want to praise the Lord for the opportunity that He has given me to serve the LLBC family as your pastor.  You have been a great blessing to us.  We look forward to seeing what the future holds.  We love you!

These next few months will be of great importance to our church. Beginning Sunday, March 11 we will begin a 40 day emphasis called The Ezekiel Project, a study about church renewal based upon Ezekiel 38 – the passage on the valley of dry bones.   The Ezekiel Project was developed by the Southern Baptists of Texas to help churches get back on the road to growth and spiritual health. During these 40 days you will be asked to complete a daily devotional reading and answer a few questions from the book ‘Spiritual CPR: Building Life into a Valley of Dry Bones.’ When you meet with your class or group each week you will view a video message designed to accompany the study. At the end of the 40 days we will begin our Lay Renewal Weekend (April 20-22).  Audie and Janice Bradshaw will be our general coordinators and will be working to enlist leaders for the various committees that will help us to prepare for this weekend. You will be hearing from them soon about both The Ezekiel Project and the Lay Renewal Weekend.

I would also ask you to pray daily for our church during these ministry events – much like we did for our Lordship Revival. I believe that God wants to speak to all of us and grow us both spiritually and numerically. We need to prepare our hearts to hear from Him and to begin the process of renewal.  I am praying for revival in our midst and for lost souls to be saved. Yours in Christ, Bro. Keith
