From the Pastor's Desk - November 2014

From the Pastor’s Desk – I feel like all I do is promote rather than being able to share what is on my heart. So before I promote what is coming up I want to share two verses the Lord has laid upon my heart. Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths. HCSB I had read this verse many times, but in a time of crisis over 25 years ago God used this verse to guide me: “Trust in Me,” He said, “think on Me and I will guide you.  No matter what you face, no matter what is going on around you. I am still in charge.” A good word for us all.

Our LORDSHIP REVIVAL starts Sunday, Nov. 2. I hope that you have been praying for Bro. Ernie and Wanda Perkins and for all of us as we hear from the Lord through His Servant.  My prayer is that we will truly proclaim that Jesus is Lord of our life and our church. I encourage you to bring your friends, your family, your neighbors and anyone else you can get here to worship with us and hear from the Lord.  We will be having fellowship meals on Sunday at noon, then Monday-Wednesday nights at 6 PM. The church will provide the meat and we ask you to provide the sides and dessert. A sign-up list is on the bulletin board for each meal. And don’t forget, we will be receiving a love offering for Bro. Ernie each night, so be prepared to give generously.

Sunday, November 23 is GCC DAY. We will be receiving a love offering for our camp, Green Country Camp. To grow for the future and to meet budget for our regular expenses we have in a fundraising campaign called Upward Vision. You will hear more about GCC Day in the services each week. I encourage you  to pray for our camp, our administrator, John Parker and for Upward Vision.

MEMBERS MEETING – Our next members meeting is November 23 in the evening service.  We will be voting on the budget as well as the church leadership. I encourage you to come and enjoy the fellowship and learn more about the ministries we are doing at LLBC.

I love you. Bro. Keith
