From the Pastor's Desk - June 2012

As I have reflected this month about the Lay Renewal Weekend, and what a blessing it was to our church, I realized that the reason that it was so successful was that you had been praying for it for quite some time…and our 24 hour prayer vigil contributed to it as well.  I want to encourage you to continue interceding for our church especially during the summer months. We will be doing so many ministry things that we need the Lord’s direction and power as we serve Him.  Sunday night starts VBS. How we need the power of the Holy Spirit as we teach the Word and lead young lives to the truths of God’s plan for their lives. Falls Creek (Youth) and Green Country Camp (Pre-teen) are just a few weeks away as well.  Our camps give our kids the opportunity to get away from the distractions of the world to hear what God has to say to them. Pray for our kids to listen to the Lord and to follow His leading. Some need Christ as Savior. Some are facing uncertain futures. For many, this is the only opportunity that they will have to be with a group of people who love them and desire God’s best for them. And pray for our missions teams. Our Macedonia team leaves July 12.  Our youth team begins their ministry July 30. Pray for boldness as we go. Pray for a complete surrender of our lives to Christ’s leadership.  Pray that the lives we touch will be changed forever and that Christ will be glorified as they follow Him. We look forward to a great summer…covered by the blood of Jesus and by the prayers of God’s people.

From the reports of our Mixed Age Share Time (MAST) Sunday was a great day in the life of our church. I want to especially thank the facilitators that led our groups.  Our next MAST will be June 24. We will again have a fellowship pot-luck after the worship service.

Have a great week in the Lord.

Bro. Keith
